Maple-Roasted Pecans with Cinnamon

A gut-friendly sweet and crunchy treat.

Ingredients
  

For Nuts
  • - 3 cups raw pecan halves
  • - 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • - 1 tablespoon coconut oil melted
  • - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • - 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • - Pinch cayenne optional
For Coating
  • - 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • - 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Method
 

Preparing Nuts
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Mix in bowl: pecans, maple, syrup, coconut oil and spices.
  3. Spread on parchment-lined baking sheet.
Roasting
  1. Roast 12-15 minutes:
  2. - Stir halfway
  3. - Watch carefully
  4. - Until fragrant
  5. Remove from oven.
  6. Sprinkle with coating mixture.
  7. Let cool completely.

Notes

Make-Ahead Tips:
- Make up to 1 week ahead
- Store in airtight container
- Prepare spice mix in advance
- Can be served room temperature
- Re-crisp in oven if needed
